Lean Startups Living Agile

At NextWave, we’re Agile.  Not just in the way we develop applications and how we put ourselves, our company, and our products out there.

We appreciate the fact that Life is iterative, at every level.  And an experiment.

“The problem is that quality is really in the eye of the beholder. For a for-profit company, quality is defined by what the customer wants.”
~  Eric Ries

That would be YOU.  For us to constantly improve, we need to know what you like and don’t like about any ScrumMaster application.  Speak up!  Share your experiences with our blog site community.  Feedback and quality go hand-in-hand.

And if you’re not familiar with Eric Ries and some of his thoughts about Lean Startup, you may want to check him out.  Here’s just one interview with LinkedIn Executive Chairman and co-founder Reid Hoffman about what quality should mean for entrepreneurs.

Thanks! You’re the best!

Thanks for using the NextWave™ ScrumMaster™ application!  We’re currently working on designing this site just for you—here you can view videos, find tips, share your success, and ask specific questions about how to best use ScrumMaster.  Get expert answers from our NextWave team and from other ScrumMaster users from around the world.

And be sure to let us know what’s working for you and what isn’t.  We’ve already got some ideas for upgrades.  We’ll be asking for your opinions before we begin new development.

Where to begin?

ScrumMaster™ is a pretty heavy-duty application, with lots of bits and pieces.  Where to start?  Do you need to use all of its functionality?

Whether you use all or only some Agile, Scrum, or traditional PMI project management approaches, it’s designed to be flexible.

Start first with the Tutorial.  Swipe from the tablet’s right edge to access it anytime from your Charms menu:  Settings > Tutorial.  It will give you an overview of how a project is built and how ScrumMaster works.

Check out the Tutorial!

Then, play around.  Create your first project from the home page.  Swipe from the top or bottom edges to explore the unique menu options on each page.  Tap to select and open your menu options.  Check out each field’s details, as the fields you choose to use will create your report information.

Use the Find Your Answer drop down menu on the right to go directly to tips, tricks, and comments about a specific ScrumFunction area.

Remember, we want to hear from you.  There are no ‘dumb questions’!  We’ll give you the best answers we can and hope other Scrum Masters from around the world will step in, too.

Love the trial?  Click to buy ScrumMaster from the Microsoft Store.  Don’t forget your team members using Agile Story Sizing Cards on their Windows 8 devices (and Windows phones, any day!) can vote and connect with you automatically during Sprint Planning.  It’s free and available here!
